(1940)In one of the conferences of the Muslim league Jinnah had said…….
……mostly it has been discovered that their (Hindus) heroes are enemies of the Muslims…such two communities, where one is a minority and the other a majority, tying them in one country will give rise to dissatisfaction and the infrastructure will finally shatter of the government that will be made for that country.
(August 1944)
Jinnah had said will addressing some Muslim students…….
……Hindus and Muslims will be happy if Pakistan is made, as it will be appropriate for their interests. They will never let anyone, where it is an Afghan or a Pathan do what they want to because India is for the Indians.
(11 August 1947)
Jinnah had said……..
……..If Pakistan wants to make any place between the various countries of the International Community it has to rise above Sect and Religion. You are free; you are free to go in your Temples. You are free to go to your Mosques or to any other worship sites. Which ever religion, caste or race you belong to, it will not be concerned with the working of the government.
Once Gopal Krishna Gokhle had said about Jinnah……
…….He is made of true qualities and free of all the communal prejudices, this makes him a true ambassador of Hindu-Muslim unity.
I am not making any analysis through these statements. Rather, I am trying to understand the debate and asking everyone that are the uncertainty these statements show the root cause of the entire problem. Was Jinnah Communal or Secular or something else………….what’s your take on this?
(I have taken the statements written on Jinnah from various Journals)
